Dr. Jonah Marks received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Schulich School of Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario. During his time at Schulich, Dr. Marks volunteered at Schulich’s Dental Outreach Community Services, providing pro bono dental treatment to underprivileged patients in London, Ontario. In addition, Dr. Marks travelled to Nicaragua where he provided dental care in underserved communities. He continues to offer pro bono dental care, working with LAMP Community Health Care Centre and the Alpha Omega Dental Volunteer Program.
Dr. Danny Park, Dentist
Dr. Seunghyun (Daniel) Park received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Melbourne Dental School in Australia. Through years of caring for patients at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne and at a private practice, Dr. Park learned that establishing solid patient-clinician rapport is the key to ensuring successful treatment. With that in mind, he aims to provide comprehensive treatments and minimize dental anxiety by tailoring his approach to suit individual needs.
In his spare time, Dr. Park enjoys reading, running, and dancing with his fiancée.
Dr. Xheni Bici, Dentist
Dr. Xheni Bici completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery at University College Cork in Ireland. She is passionate about building relationships with her patients founded on mutual trust and care. Dr. Bici is committed to providing comprehensive and quality patient care while maintaining a comfortable environment. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and continues to further her learning with continuing education.
In her free time, Dr. Bici enjoys jogging, reading, travelling, playing volleyball, and spending time with her family.
Julie Oxby, Office Manager
Julie earned her Dental Assistant Level 1 from CDI College, graduating in 2003. She continued her passion for dental care at Western University, where she graduated in 2005 with her Dental Assistant Level 2. She’s excited to be a part of the team at Marks Dentistry and has been working in the dental field for nearly 2 decades.
Julie is a friendly face around the office and loves getting to know each patient to help them achieve a beautiful smile. When she’s not at work, Julie enjoys crocheting, reading, and spending time with her family and dogs.
Sally Smigiel, Dental Hygienist
Sally graduated with honours in 2009 from the George Brown College dental hygiene program. She remained on the dean’s list for 4 consecutive years and received an outstanding achievement award in all aspects of oral assessment. Sally brings great knowledge, spirit, and enthusiasm to our practice. Having worked with children for Toronto Public Health and elderly patients at Baycrest Geriatric Hospital, Sally truly understands how to connect with people of all ages and backgrounds.
In her spare time, Sally and her husband enjoy travelling, eating exotic foods, attending musicals, and working out at boot camp.
Sally was born and raised in the Long Branch area and continues to reside in her childhood home right off Lakeshore Boulevard. Sally is thrilled to be providing dental healthcare to her neighbours and friends.
Tanya Cardella, Dental Hygienist
Tanya graduated from George Brown College in 2007 with a Level II Dental Assisting Certificate and worked chairside until she returned to school to study Dental Hygiene. Tanya graduated with honours in 2009 as a Certified Dental Hygienist.
Outside of the clinic, Tanya enjoys oil painting, skiing, and spending time with her family.
Stella Maciuszko, Receptionist
Stella has worked in the dental profession for almost 25 years. Stella started her career as a dental assistant in the Etobicoke area. Since 1992, she has worked as a dental receptionist at Marks Dentistry, and has been a devoted member of our team. Stella’s proficiency in Polish, strong work ethic and friendly disposition have been incredible assets to our dental clinic.
Stella loves spending time at her cottage with her 2 boys and her husband of 30 years. At home, Stella has a passion for gardening and cooking. She’s also an avid biker.
Tiffany Walker, Dental Assistant
Tiffany is a graduate of George Brown College. In May 2018, Tiffany joined the Marks Dentistry team and is a dedicated, enthusiastic, caring dental assistant.
Tiffany is passionate about dental assisting and enjoys putting her patients at ease while they are in the dental chair. She will always find a way to brighten everyone’s day.
In her free time, Tiffany enjoys all aspects of fitness, eating, and spending quality time with her little one.
